A5 18 John Betters Bid from USA to Open Division

 

It was another good weekend for the A5 Family, with several teams competing against the top teams in the country in Salt Lake City, while other teams were dominating here at home.  The Big News is that A5 18 John became the second "2" team in the history of our organization to qualify for the USAV National Championship in the Open Division.   There were just 14 teams entered in the Open division of the Florida U18 Qualifier, meaning only one bid was available.  However, two of the entrants had already earned bids, and it worked out that 18 John's match for third place was for a bid.  They took care of business, soundly defeating a fine MAVA team for the Bronze Medal and a trip to Anaheim. Congrats, ladies!

 

This weekend is our signature tournament -- Beast of the Southeast -- and it is the most competitive field we've ever had.  A reminder for our teams:  many attendees at this event will have long drives ahead of them.  When possible, please volunteer to take their reffing assignments to enable them to get an early start home.
