Some Summer Information

May 13, 2018 -

Several Important Dates to Save
  • Cinco de Mayo Glow Golf Extravaganza, on -- you guessed it -- May 5th -- at SVC.  The time has been changed to 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.  Details are included in this flier; and you may sign up by clicking this link. This will be a fun event benefiting our club and we hope to see most of you there.
  • Our annual Junior/Senior Banquet is slated for the very next evening - Sunday, May 6th -- at Gwinnett Center this year.  Events include a sumptuous banquet with keynote speaker, our 2018 Hall of Fame inductee, the Hat Ceremony for seniors and just a great time of reflection and camaraderie -- a passing of the torch of leadership from the class of '18 to the class of '19. It is mandatory for juniors and seniors from Georgia-based clubs and certainly we welcome any of our Chattanooga sisters.  The cost of the dinner was included in your player fees.  Parents are welcome to attend as well, but you will have to pony up the cost of the event. Details to follow.
  • While many organizations give lip service to the concept of Professional Development, we at A5 are always seeking to learn from the best in the business. Saturday, May 19th is our Coaches Clinic and Appreciation Event.  Witchita State Head Volleyball Coach Chris Lamb -- one of the best minds on the sport -- will be the guest clinician.  The Professional Development aspect of the day will be followed by an evening of food, drink and friendly competition at Dave and Buster's. Mandatory event for coaches from all of our clubs.

Registration is Open for Summer Camps at SVC and PCVC as Well

Players and parents need to walk a fine line here.  We've got a bevy of summer camps to choose from throughout the month of July, but it would be a mistake for an athlete to spend their entire summer in the gym.  That said, if you want to make the team of your choice next fall, it would be a bigger mistake not to attend some of these offerings.

Details are here.

Summer Intern(s) Wanted

Are you a college student with a desire to do something more with your summer than eat bon-bons and sit by the pool?  Interested in being part of the inner workings of one of the top Youth Sports organizations in the country for a few months?  Want to give back to the A5 organization in an administrative capacity this summer?

If so, contact LA O'Sullivan for more info.  We've got plenty for you to do!
