A5 Family,
The Family was split between two tournaments last weekend -- the Rally Rumble in Emerson and the Sweet Tea Showdown - which we host in partnership with Alliance and Triangle - in Nashville. The focus of both tournaments was more about getting quality matches as a tune-up for AAU and/or USAV Nationals than winning, but win we did. In dominant fashion. Details are below. A5 18 T-Nol (Boys) Qualifies for Nationals Congrats to our A5 18 Boys team for qualifying for the USAV National Championship in the USA division. They finished 2nd in the East Coast Boys Championships, losing in the finals 13 - 15 to finish 7 - 1 on the weekend. They will be joining A5 14 Kip in Phoenix next month for Nationals.
Butcher Commits; Brings The Count for the Class of '18 to an Even 70 Please join me in congratulating Madi Butcher (A5 Beach National) on her recent commitment to play (indoor) volleyball for Oglethorpe University this Fall. Located in Brookhaven/Atlanta, the Stormy Petrels compete in the Southern Athletic Association. Our own Lisa Godwin (A5 17 Lisa) is on staff there, so Madi will be in good hands.
