A5 Europe - Diary Entry #1

November 22, 2014 - Today might be the longest day of our lives. Most of us went to school Thursday morning in America and then met at the airport. We were all so excited to start our journey together. Since Thursday morning, we have spent about a total of 20 hours either flying or in an airport. Those who are fortunate were able to catch up on some sleep on the plane. However, the majority of our team could not sleep. When we finally arrived in Vienna, Austria, we were all exhausted! We met our wonderful tour guide Luca at the airport and so it began. We headed back to the hotel and got ready for practice. After a two hour practice we ate one of the best meals any of us have had in a long time. We had an authentic Austrian meal consisting of thinly breaded pork and potatoes. It was delicious! Finally leaving on a full stomach we walked to the subway. Making about 5 stops, we then made it to the Graben. We then proceeded to walk the streets viewing different buildings and rushing through the cold. Before we knew it we were back at the hotel, Bob then called for a meeting telling us the plans for tomorrow. With a classic A5 break down, the girls then went to their rooms to get rest for a exciting day in Vienna Saturday!!!
