A5 Europe - Diary Entry #5

November 26, 2014 - Today is day number five. We got to sleep in a little and met in the lobby at 9:30 for breakfast. From breakfast we headed out to explore Maribor. In the downtown city we saw the oldest vine that produces wine that is now only given as gifts or at special occasions. Next we visited a Catholic church that is almost 1000 years old. After all of the sightseeing we drove back to the hotel to eat lunch. We finished lunch and went up to our rooms and took a nap and talked. We began to get ready and prepared for the game. We played the Slovenian Youth National Team again this afternoon and beat them in five sets. It was an exciting match and everyone got to play! We finished out the night by going out to a family-owned vineyard and celebrated Thanksgiving. We tasted wine and they went out of their way to make us a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner.
