Beach Bids
March 25, 2016 - Our Beach program brought home their first two bids of the season. A5 Beach National teams battled the wind and rain this past weekend at the USAV/Rox Florida Open Qualifier in Tavares, FL. This was our first beach qualifier of the season with 11 A5 Beach teams and 1 A5 team of boys from A5 14 Kip participating.
Anna Youngs and Camryn Bossinas won the U16 Division Championship, thereby earning an Open bid to participate in the USAV Jr. Nationals in Milwaukee, WI and the Rox Nationals in Tavares, FL, both in July. Their finish also gets them an invite to the East Coast Championships.
Also bringing home USAV/Rox Open bids in 14U Boys division were Eric Winn and Nick Schelkopf of A5 14 Kip. They too will be competing in back-to-back National tournaments in July.
Clearly our Sand program is well on the way to earning the kind of National recognition that our indoor teams have achieved.
