A5 Family,
With the completion of the second tournament we host each club season - Icebreaker - our teams have confirmed that with few exceptions, the strongest competition we will face locally is... well... US! At practice throughout the season. But any coach or player will confirm that when competing against Family members in a tournament setting, where girls are in uniform, officials are on the stand and the matches "count", the vibe is entirely different than when scrimmaging in practice.
Take, for example, the stacked 17/18 Power Division. Seven of the eight quarter-finalists were from the Family. All four semi-finalists were A5 Family Teams. Indeed, no A5 or A5 South U18 team lost to a team from outside the Family the entire weekend. Now that's dominance.
In a couple of weeks many of our teams will be testing themselves against the best in the Country at Triple Crown's NIT. Then comes Beast of the Southeast and the Qualifier Season,. We've got a lot of work to do between now and then, but we're off to a great start!
