Don't Let These Recruiting Opportunities Pass You By
A5 Family,

With most of our older teams at home last weekend preparing for Presidents Day tournaments, this newsletter will focus on administrivia.  We'll have lots to report on next week.

For uncommitted athletes attending NIT and/or Beast, don't let these incredible recruiting opportunities pass you by.  Presidents Day weekend will be the first opportunity for Division I college coaches to recruit, and they will be out en masse.  But chances are, they won't know to evaluate you if you haven't contacted them to let you know of your interest.

So do this:  sit down right now and write an email to the head coach and/or recruiting coordinator of the top ten colleges on your list.  That will put you on their list.  And then - or perhaps the following morning or afternoon -- CALL THEM with the same message.  Leave a voice mail if they don't pick up.  That will put you near the top of their list.

232 college coaches have registered for the NIT, and we expect about half that amount at Beast. One of the reasons all of our graduating seniors have the opportunity to play in college is that we enter them in tournaments in which they can be seen.  The coming tournaments, along with National Qualifiers, are your best opportunity to be recruited.  Don't squander it by neglecting to communicate with college coaches.
