A5 Family Shows Well at Inaugural
Rock the Mountain Classic
Big South Beckons
April 4, 2019
When A5 Chattanooga was formed, we made a commitment to host and support tournaments in Chattanooga to help enable our Chattanooga sisters to be competitively challenged while saving money by sleeping in their own beds. We kept that promise last weekend and hope to expand our tournament presence in the Choo Choo city in years to come.
We now turn our attention to the Big South Qualifier this weekend and next. Aside from the Southern Regional Championship, Big South is traditionally the tournament at which we earn most of our bids. The tournament is held over two weekends this year owing to the Super Bowl's control of convention facilities before and after the game.
Best of luck to all this weekend, though we know that - aside from the occasional miss-seed or a serve dribbling over the net, luck has nothing to do with it. It's your training, teamwork and the quality of your work in the gym that will help bring home the Hardware.
Hey, as you scroll down and see the number of college commitments we've had in just the past week (5), realize that I just learned about two more from A5 South, whom we will recognize in next week's Newsletter. That's seven commitments over the course of a week, bringing The Count for the class of '19 to 55. Though we may not eclipse last year's record of 72 commitments, I challenge anyone to identify a club that sends more of its athletes on to play volleyball at the collegiate level than the A5 organization. Why A5? That metric alone should be enough to convince the serious player that A5 is where he or she needs to train.
