OUR AMAZING ALUMNI

A5 class of 2015 and Davidson College 2019 graduate will be “hopping across the pond” in September to attend Durham University. At A5, Rooney’s career began when she made the 14-1 team. She remained with her age group’s top team until she graduated from high school. Highlights of this career consisted of finishing 2nd at Nationals while on Jing’s 17-1 team. As a sophomore in high school Mason committed to Davidson College. At Davidson, Rooney started all four years of her career on the volleyball team. She led the team as a captain during her junior and senior year and was named to the academic all-conference team both years. Rooney finished her final two years ranked in the top three for triple-doubles in the NCAA. Rooney majored in psychology and minored in communications. At Durham, she will be pursuing her Masters of Science in Developmental Psychopathology while competing for the University’s BUCS league team and their semi-pro team. Durham is one of the world’s leading universities as shown by their World Top 100 position in the QS World University Rankings.
