COVID-19 Coronavirus Tournament and Practice Update

Contributed by: Gabe Aramian

March 12, 2020 -

As everyone has likely seen by now, USAV is recommending that sanctioned volleyball events be cancelled over the next week. This is aimed at easing some of the current virus concerns across the country and allowing everyone to pause and take a deep collective breath.

Therefore, all A5 practices are cancelled through March 22 per USAV’s recommendation. During that time, A5 will continue to clean and sanitize all facilities, and have them ready at any time. It is possible with new information practices could resume sooner.

We realize tournaments are being postponed or cancelled during this timeframe and we are working diligently in determining the next steps. As of now, we’ll consider the season back on track starting March 23.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will update you as things unfold.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact your club’s leadership.

Best Regards,
A5 Board and Leadership
