Join us in congratulating these A5 coaches for receiving coveted national recognition by the AVCA. With leadership and coaching at this level, it's no wonder A5 is ranked 2nd in the nation!
17s Club Coach of the Year
Jing Hou

Jing is widely seen as one of the top coaches in the nation and continues to show his knowledge of the game by producing some of the best teams in the 17s-division year after year. From small group private lessons to club wide training and development, Jing is in the gym daily, having a hand in the development of virtually every player and coach that comes through A5 and the greater Atlanta area. He has an unrelenting passion for the success of his teams, and his love for the players.
15s Club Coach of the Year
Bob Westbrook

The founder of A5, Bob Westbrook continues to be the face of volleyball not only in the greater Atlanta area, but the Southeast. Bob has an essential role in the development and execution of the overall training methodology for the club. He recently moved to a lead training presence in the youngest A5 Master Coaching gym (10s-12s) and he took over the 15-1 Head Coaching slot after his 20-year stint of coaching 18-1. Bob brings his many years of experience and a passion for strict technical discipline in all areas of the game to this younger group eager to learn from our most experienced coach.
14s Club Coach of the Year
Helen Lin Walker

Helen has done just about everything a volleyball coach can do, along her journey to Atlanta. After completing four years of collegiate experience as a hitter and earning her degree in advertising and communication, Helen played professional volleyball both in China and Indonesia, before emigrating to the U.S. in 2011 and beginning her club coaching career. Helen has also coached in the college ranks at Emory University as an assistant coach, and is currently the head coach at The Walker School in Marietta, where she led the Wolverines to a Georgia Final Four appearance. Our 14-1 team is in the best of hands with Helen's experienced leadership, and the AVCA Club Coach of the Year award is an honor she definitely deserves.
