A5 17-JING QUALIFIES FOR OPEN DIVISION; BRINGS THE FAMILY'S BID COUNT TO 12
A5 Family,
With the regular season behind us, If you're playing 15's or older you are now set to experience the A5 Family's most potent Secret Weapon--another eight weeks of training. The vast majority of clubs in the South are now done with Club volleyball for the season, while A5, A5 South and GA5 athletes will continue to train and improve. When people ask me for the reasons our club has been so successful, this extra training is always at the top of the list. You're paying for it, so why not make the most of it?
We finished the Regular Season with a flourish. The third try was a charm for A5 17-Jing, who had narrowly missed qualifying for Open on two previous occasions. They finished 4th in Minneapolis, high enough to bring home the club's 3rd Open bid. A5 18-Bob finished 5th, just out of the money, and is now holding out hope for an at-large selection.
The 12 bids we have earned to date represent the second-highest total in our history. But it's the quality of the bids that makes this year's performance special. The five teams bolded below have earned a trip to Nationals in their age group's highest competitive category (there is no Open category for U12's and U13's).
