2013 Summer Camps
May 17, 2013 - A5 Summer Camps will be held at the Southern Volleyball Center (SVC) – 11415 Old Roswell Rd., Suite 200, Roswell 30009
General Skills Camp (June 3-4-5, 2013 9am-3pm $215)
Open to rising 6th-9th graders (or 11-14 yrs old) with limited to no competitive volleyball experience. Exceptions will be made for 5th graders (or 11 and Under) who have previous club and/or school team experience. This camp is designed for beginner and intermediate players who are aspiring to make their school’s Middle School feeder program or Junior Varsity teams. This camp is also ideal for those who want to keep their skills sharp but cannot commit to either school or club volleyball programs, or just want additional training. The camp will feature skill development, technique progressions and game play in several variations including creative scoring methods or modes of play. Tempo of drills will be moderately paced, but will provide lots of repetitions. Teams are encouraged to register as a group. We will keep teams together as much as possible, but it is not guaranteed.
Technique Camp (June 6 & 7, 2013 9am-3pm $165)
Open to rising 6th-8th graders (or 11-13 yrs old) regardless of level. Beginners are welcome, however this is not an introduction to volleyball. This unique camp is repetition-driven, focusing on thousands of ball touches on each particular skill. The center point of this camp is technically grounded and will not focus on game play situations or team dynamics. Drills will include individual, partner and group-based sequences. Campers will have close to 10, 000 ball touches.
Youth Camp (June 6 & 7, 2013 9am-3pm $165)
Open to all rising 2nd-6th graders (or 7-11 yrs old) with limited to no volleyball experience. No previous volleyball or athletic experience is necessary. Designed with the beginner in mind, this camp develops agility, hand-eye coordination and court movement. Different game play situations and basic volleyball skills are introduced. This is a great way to introduce the sport of volleyball to beginners or hone skills to prepare for A5′s 12 & Under club tryouts.
Elite Middle School Camp (June 10-11-12-13, 2013 9am-3pm $275) - SOLD OUT
Participation is limited to rising 6th-9th graders (or 11-14 yrs old). This is A5′s premiere Youth camp. Players MUST have at least 2 years of previous club and/or organized competitive school volleyball to be eligible. This camp is designed for intermediate and advanced players who are highly motivated to perform and compete at the highest level possible. Exceptional work ethic, intensity and court demeanor is expected of all athletes. This camp will feature technique progressions and game play in several variations, and will implement rotations and offensive/defensive systems. Creative scoring methods or modes of play will be used to challenge each player’s competitive drive and focus. Tempo of drills will be fast-paced. A round-robin tournament with culminate the 4-day camp. Teams are also encouraged to register as a group. We will keep teams together as much as possible, but it is not guaranteed.
It’s highly recommended that any athletes interested in trying out for A5’s 12 & Under club (travel) teams for 2013-2014 participate in Summer Camps, Spring and/or Fall Youth programs.

Camp Policies
Confirmation of Enrollment
You will receive a confirmation email from our program administrator a few weeks before the start of the clinic confirming your child's enrollment. The email will also have details regarding what to expect and what to bring to the clinic. Thank you for your patience.
Payment of Fees
Registrations will be accepted on a first come-first served basis through our online registration system. Please be advised that, prior to previous years, your child is not considered to be registered until payment has been received. Once the online registration process has been completed and payment rendered, your child’s slot in the camp/clinic is secured. A5 clinics and camps have sold out for the past several years, so we recommend that you register and pay early to reserve your slot. Online payments may be made with a credit or debit card through PayPal (a link will appear once you go through the registration process). Payments may also be made with personal checks which may be dropped off in person or mailed to the SVC (A5 Volleyball – 11415 Old Roswell Rd., Suite 200, Roswell GA 30009). We are no longer accepting payment on the first day of the clinic/camp.
Cancellations and Refund Policy
To cancel a registration, please go to your account in the Players Corner on the main page of our website. It is located on the bottom left navigation menu. Simply uncheck the selection for the clinic/camp on your account. You may also send an email to Marge Ramos (a5youthvball@gmail.com). For cancellations occurring 14 days or more before the first day of clinic/camp you are registered for, we will refund your paid fees minus a $25 administrative fee. Refund requests will not be honored once the 14-day deadline has passed.
The balance of the camp fee, less the $25 administrative fee, will be refunded only if:
- – Family plans change and the participant can no longer attend. In this case written notification must be received 14 days before the opening date of the confirmed clinic/camp session;
- – The participant does not attend due to illness or injury. A letter from a physician must accompany the refund request;
- – The participant is sent home from camp due to illness or injury occurring at camp. Refunds are prorated in such cases and will be made only at the written request of the parent.
