Hi-5 Fun

September 16, 2013 - Hi5 Fund -- Financial Aid for 2014 Season 
 
Those of you who have been members of the A5 Family are aware of the existence of a financial aid program for those families who would not otherwise be able to afford the A5 Experience.  This fund was established by Judy and John Bardis in 2009 and has helped enable dozens of athletes to play for our organization. 
 
A couple of things about the Hi5 Program:

• A number of individuals have indicated that they would be interested in donating to the Fund.  If any of you are so inclined, donations (or pledges) need to be in our hand by the end of September if they are to be available for families requesting aid this coming season.  Donation forms are available on any of the Clubs' websites. 
• Financial aid is based solely on economic need; it has nothing to do with athletic ability.  Indeed, the sole athletic requirement is that the athlete must make an A5, GA5 or A5 South team
• Applications for financial aid can be downloaded from any of the three clubs' websites.  As indicated on the application, they must be in our hands at SVC not later than Sunday, 9/29 to be considered.  
• The Committee will begin reviewing the applications the very next day, and candidates will know prior to tryouts if they are eligible for financial aid.
