2022-2023 Girls Tryouts 14's

All the camps and clinics are great, but here is the real benefit: playing on an A5 club team, wearing the A5 uniform, bonding with teammates, and experiencing high-level match play representing one of the best clubs in the nation! Over the course of an entire season, athletes get unlimited instruction and experience with match and tournament play. Playing on a club team is an incredible value considering the number of contact hours. There is just no substitute for the experience and FUN during a season of club volleyball at A5!
The registration fee includes an A5 T-shirt for each athlete that will be given out at tryouts. Of course, the further in advance you register, the more it helps the club plan for tryouts.
After signing in as a registered user (or creating an account if you are a new user), you can add your dependent athlete to your profile and then register them for tryouts.
14-ELIGIBLE TEAMS:
The initial tryout on October 15th for 14U is mandatory for every player trying out. We will field up to 5 teams as the result of this tryout. There will be a second day of tryouts for 14's (Monday, October 17th, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.) to form one or two additional teams. It is required that each athlete have a parent attend tryouts.
Regional Team tryouts for this age group will occur Saturday, October 22nd.
We ask that when you come to the gym, you have a plan in mind, having done your research, and know in advance if A5 is the club for you. Our goal is to leave the gym with all of our teams in place. These teams will be comprised of athletes committed to excellence and want to be with A5. We want and welcome families who are excited to be a part of the best coaching and top to bottom training regimen in the country.
SRVA SIGN UP
USA Volleyball requires that each athlete register within their region - our region's governing body is the Southern Region Volleyball Association, or SRVA. Prior to tryouts, you must register on the SRVA website and pay a $10.00 tryout registration fee that will turn into a full-year USAV membership once your athlete is placed on a team. Registration on the SRVA/USAV website will not open until Sept 12th at the earliest. The region asks that parents and families be patient with this process. IMPORTNAT NOTE
Please bring your completed USAV Medical Form and SRVA Membership Form with you to tryouts. SRVA REGISTRATION will open in mid-September. No refunds will be given inside 96 hours.
WHAT TO BRING
At tryouts, you will need to bring a copy of the USAV Medical Form filled out. You will also need to pre-register with the SRVA region, as outlined above. Athletes should wear comfortable athletic attire including athletic shoes. Volleyball-specific attire is not required, and athletes will be given a T-shirt to wear during tryouts. Kneepads are optional, but most athletes prefer to wear them. Each athlete should also have plenty of water in a sealable water jug or bottle, labeled with their name.
