2014 Southern Volleyball Showcase

Two Waves: 9-12 and 1-4 (each athlete will attend one wave)
As in the past, there will be two waves in the Showcase — one from 9:00 AM until noon and the other from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. After you have registered, you will receive an email asking your preference as to wave assignments - please complete the linked form to send us your preference - we will endeavor to honor these preferences, but must do so on a first-come basis. You will receive an email in late November that states your wave assignment. If you have a need to know earlier (ie, making travel plans), please email southernvolleyballshowcase@gmail.com.
One of the top recruiting combines in the country, the Showcase provides a vehicle for athletes who are Sophomores and above to demonstrate their volleyball skills to some 100 college coaches. Freshmen will be allowed into the Showcase only if there is space available after mid November - until then you will be put in a wait list status.
The Showcase will have 2 waves: AM wave is 9AM - 12PM; PM wavie is 1-4PM.
A recruiting seminar will be included as well. There will be multiple presentations throughout the day, enabling parents and players to attend together if they wish. In previous years we have been told that the seminar itself was worth the price of admission.
Space is limited to 400 athletes, and the Showcase has sold out every year since its inception, so we urge you not to procrastinate if you wish to participate. It is not unusual for us to have registrations for athletes from 20 states, including Canada, Puerto Rico, California, Washington and New York, reinforcing the notion that it’s not necessary to LIVE in the Southeast to attend the Showcase; rather, if you want to ATTEND COLLEGE in this region of the country, the Showcase may be your best, most efficient way to be noticed by coaches from your target geographic. We do also have coaches from other parts of the country.
For us, the most rewarding aspect of the Showcase is that each year we receive a dozen or so “thank you” emails from participants who committed to a program to which they were first exposed at our event. We’ve included a few of their comments in the “testimonials” tab.
Though we typically don’t know in advance which colleges will be represented, a listing of college coaches who have attended in the past is posted on the “colleges represented” tab. If a recruit attending the Showcase wants to be seen by a particular college coach, the best thing they can do to make that happen is to contact that coach, let them know they will be at the Showcase, and ask them to come watch.
The cost is $85.
In the event a player who has registered for the Southern Volleyball Showcase requests a refund, the Showcase will grant written refund requests for good cause through Friday, November 15, 2014. Such refunds will be issued via a credit back to the credit card, less a $20 processing fee. Beginning November 16, 2014, the Showcase will issue refunds for the Southern Volleyball Showcase only when the registered player has a medical issue that prohibits participation in the Showcase event. Southern Volleyball Showcase, at its sole discretion, may request medical documentation before processing a medical refund request. Refunds in all instances will only be issued if we are able to fill the athlete's slot. Requests must be made before the Showcase, on December 6, 2014.
